서울대학교 의과대학을 졸업하고 한국과 미국의 의대에서 심장학 교수와 전문의로 일하면서 시를 썼다. 월간문학으로 등단, "빛과 소리를 넘어서", "햇빛 유난한 날에", "시집가는 날", "시냅스" 등 12권의 시집을 출간했다. 그의 작품은 과학을 바탕으로 한 배경에 예술 세계의 상상력을 표현하고 있다. 시집 외에도 전공 분야의 지식과 의학 정보를 일반인들에게 쉽게 전달하기 위한 교과서와 실용서를 여러 권 집필했다. 현재 인제대학교 총장으로 재직 중이다.

Lee Won-Ro
After graduating from the College of Medicine at Seoul National University, Lee wrote poetry while working as a professor of cardiology and a specialist at medical school in the United States. He made his debut in Korean magazine Wolgan Munhak (Literature Monthly), and has since published 12 collections of poems, including "Beyond Light and Sound," "On a Day of Unusual Sunlight," "Wedding Day" and "Synapse." Lee’s works express the imagination of the artistic world, against a science-based background. In addition to his poetry collections, he has authored several textbooks and practical guides that explain knowledge and medical information related to his profession to the general public. He currently serves as president of Inje University in Korea.
