Robinson Crusoe작품 소개

<Robinson Crusoe> 《로빈슨 크루소》는 영국 작가 다니엘 디포가 발표한 장편소설이자 소설 속 주인공 이름이다. 이 작품에서 로빈슨 크루소는 살아남기 위해 무인도에 표착하는 쓰러진 선원이며 자기 발전과 생존을 위한 노력, 희생, 인내, 희망의 테마를 다룬 가상의 자서전이다. 로빈슨 크루소는 여러 나라의 언어로 번역되었으며, 여러 작품과 영화에서 영감을 받아 새로운 버전으로 다시 창조되기도 했다.

저자 소개

다니엘 디포는 영국의 소설가이자 언론이다. 런던에서 상인의 아들로 출생하여 비국교도 학교에서 교육을 받고 여러 가지 사업에 손을 댔으나 실패 후 정치 논문을 쓰면서 언론활동을 하다가 1719년 《로빈슨 크루소》를 발표하여 명성을 얻었다.
