엘리너 파전 (Eleanor Farjeon)
1881~1965. 영국의 시인, 아동문학가. 런던 출생.
정규교육은 받지 않았지만, 인기 소설가인 아버지와 배우인 어머니 사이에서 풍부한 독서와 글쓰기를 하며 성장하였다. 1921년 <사과밭의 마틴 피핀 Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard>으로 작가적 입지를 굳혔고, 1955년 카네기상(Carnegie Medal), 1956년 국제 안데르센상(Hans Christian Andersen Award)을 받았다. 주요 저서에 <Pan-Worship and Other Poems>(1908) <The Soul of Kol Nikon>(1914) <Gypsy and Ginger>(1920) <A Nursery in the Nineties>(1935) <Martin Pippin in the Daisy Field>(1937) <The Little Bookroom>(1955) 등이 있다.
