JUNG completed her Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She started her career as a critic at "Cine 21" and moved on to "Kino," a monthly film magazine, as the head of reporters. She also served on the editorial committee of the quarterly magazine "Language of Films."
She works as a critic for the weekly magazine, "Film 2.0," and manager of reviewers for the Jeonju International Film Festival. JUNG also lectures at universities on film critique and digital cinema.
