Wet Sand(웻샌드) [개정판]

3년 동안 이 시리즈를 읽어왔고, 사랑만으로는 항상 충분하지 않다는 점을 보여줘서 정말 좋았어요. 그런데 결말에 와서는 그 모든 게 다 헛수고가 된 느낌이었어요. 아무런 변화도 없이 다시 그 사람에게 돌아갔고, 그에 따른 대가도 전혀 없었어요. 그를 위해 어떤 희생도 하지 않았고요. 조직을 떠난 것도 이미 정상에 올라 더 이상 원하지 않았기 때문일 뿐이에요. 결국 이안을 위해 포기한 건 아무것도 없었어요.

Im happy with how it ended i got my endgame but really disappointed with how rushed it was...it feels like the author is checked out after ch 98 and is speed running everything since then... the quality of artstyle also dropped..and the ending feels very anticlimactic and left us with lots of unanswered questions...

91화까지 이 이야기의 논리적인 결말은 이안의 솔로 힐링 서사이거나, 이안이 무조건적인 사랑을 받을 자격이 있기 때문에 조이안 엔딩이었어야 했어요. 97화/98화는 정말 최고였어요—로맨스와 비극의 정점! 그런데 제대로 된 티제이안 엔딩은 시도조차 하지 않았어요! 이게 무슨 무례함인가요? 우리는 모두 왜 이런 결말에 이르게 되었는지 이해할 자격이 있었어요! 저에게 이 이야기는 98화에서 끝입니다. 저는 이 작가의 작품을 다시는 보지 않을 거예요. 그녀는 우리의 관심도, 돈도 받을 자격이 없습니다. The logical ending of this story up until chapter 91 was either a solo Ian healing journey or a Joian endgame, because Ian deserved to be loved unconditionally. Big up for chapters 97/98—peak romance and tragedy! She didn’t even try to make a proper Tjian endgame! What kind of disrespect is that? We ALL deserved to understand how we got to this conclusion! For me, this story ends at chapter 98. I will never read anything from this author again. She deserves neither our attention nor our money.

It's clear the author was burnt out at the end, she just wanted to finish the story asap. There are so many plotholes.

Thank you to the author for such a thoughtfully crafted plot and for giving us Youngwoo and Taejoon, characters who have always been, are and always will be the heart and soul of this story 💛💜

This story set itself up as a narrative about breaking free from a destructive past, with Jo representing a clear path forward. But by the end, it shifts into a simple love triangle and resolves through emotional history rather than thematic payoff. Jo is the most complex and self aware character, yet he’s reduced to a catalyst. TJ’s development happens offscreen, and Ian’s final decision lacks the buildup needed to make it feel earned. The story introduces symbolism and parallels that never pay off, and the ending feels rushed and structurally disconnected.

I seriously don’t recommend Wet Sand to anyone. Chapter 99 was honestly disappointing. The story keeps trying to frame toxic and abusive behavior as if it’s some kind of deep, tragic “love,” but it just ends up feeling uncomfortable and poorly handled. Instead of meaningful character growth, the narrative keeps circling around manipulation, emotional damage, and relationships that are clearly unhealthy yet still romanticized. At this point it feels less like a complex romance and more like the story is normalizing abusive dynamics. That might work if the writing actually challenged those behaviors, but it doesn’t. It just drags them along chapter after chapter. Chapter 99 especially made it worse. Rather than resolving anything or giving characters accountability, it doubled down on the same toxic pattern. Honestly frustrating to read. If you’re looking for a story with healthy development or meaningful relationship writing, this probably isn’t it. 🚫📖
