1. God’s only begotten son

Galatians Chapter 1
4 For Christ gave himself for our sins, to save us from this evil age, according to the will of God and our Father, to save us from this evil world.

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and He now sits at the right hand of God, having authority over heaven and earth. This same Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago, taking on human form. Why? To rescue us from this wicked generation and to atone for our sins. When He came to earth, He did not come as royalty. He was born into poverty and in circumstances that invited suspicion about His birth. His father, Joseph, initially thought Mary had been unfaithful when he found out she was pregnant. Being a righteous man, he planned to quietly end the relationship. However, an angel appeared to him in a dream and dissuaded him. Jesus was born in poverty and laid in a manger. When King Herod heard about Jesus' birth, he ordered all male infants within a few kilometers of Bethlehem to be killed. The Son of God, sent from heaven, was not welcomed by the world at that time.

Why didn’t God send Jesus as a member of Roman royalty at the time? In heaven, He is the highest, yet on earth, He came to the lowest place. Later, Jesus lived in Galilee, a region so looked down upon that being from there was enough for people to reject Him. In every aspect—His birth, background, and social status—Jesus was despised and overlooked. Despite this, He spoke with spiritual authority that those in power could not match, performed miracles, fed the hungry, and healed the sick. These actions inspired people to believe He was the Messiah who would save them. They hoped He would overthrow the ruling powers and bring them deliverance. However, Jesus exposed the corruption and hypocrisy of the religious elite, such as the Pharisees and Sadducees, which led to their jealousy and scheming. In the end, they falsely accused Him and had Him crucified. The same people who once hailed Him as a king turned against Him when He was labeled a criminal, swayed by the powers that be. They betrayed Him, abandoned Him, and even cursed Him, despite all He had done for them—because He didn’t meet their expectations or do more than they desired. Jesus came to bear the sins of the world through His death on the cross, not to serve as a political savior.

Jesus associated with sinners, tax collectors, the poor, and the powerless, and because of this, He was criticized. He was hated by the established authorities in every way. The price of that hatred was death, and He accepted it willingly. Through His death, the blood He shed became the atonement for the sins of all humanity. If we simply believe in this truth, we receive salvation for our souls and the right to become children of God.

If we can believe in this story, as unbelievable as it may seem, we will receive salvation for our souls. The Holy Spirit will come and transform our thoughts and minds, opening the communication that was once broken with God. God will meet our needs and grant us wisdom, giving us the strength and hope to live our lives. I have read the Bible and understood all of this, but the reality of carrying my own cross and following this path in my life has often felt overwhelming and confusing.

I also read the Bible and tried to make friends with everyone, regardless of who they were. However, some of the people I befriended, without considering their conditions, took advantage of my weaknesses, used me, and mocked me. Those in positions of power, like adults who didn't like my way of thinking and my bosses at work, belittled me for associating with such people, calling me immature. They downplayed my achievements, belittled what I accomplished, and even took credit for it. I often found myself asking, "God, what is this? I don’t want to be crucified like Jesus!" and would try to escape. I couldn’t endure it to the point of death, because I didn’t want to die.

However, I came to a surprising realization when I learned about my Four Pillars of Destiny. I discovered that I was born with the ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’, a fortunate celestial sign. I am a person born under the ‘Gye-sa Il-ju’, and I have both ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ and ‘Tae-geuk Gwi-in’ in my chart. The ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ signifies that I am protected from evil and misfortune. If it is in the ‘Yeon-ju’ (grandparents' position), one benefits from the grandparents' blessings; if it is in the ‘Wol-ju’ (parents' position), one benefits from the parents' fortune. If it is in the ‘Si-ji’ (children's position), it indicates benefiting from the children's virtues. If it is in the ‘Il-ji’ (self-position), it means either oneself or their spouse possesses the ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’.

The ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ is believed to be a protector, guarding against misfortune and even taking on hardships to shield the individual. This suggests that life may not always be smooth, as such a person carries a higher responsibility and a mission on earth. The ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ is referred to as the "noble class of the heavens," sent with a purpose. They are placed in difficult circumstances at first but eventually overcome these challenges and return to their rightful place. People born under this sign are said to be noble, pure in character, and surrounded by many helpers. Their mission on earth is so important that they are believed to live until they fulfill it, similar to the Buddhist concept of a bodhisattva, who comes to help others. The ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ is seen as a reflection of past lives; if one has done much good in their previous life, they receive an A+ in their cosmic "report card," while those who have committed wrongs might be reborn as insects or animals.

As for the ‘Tae-geuk Gwi-in’, it is believed that the older one gets, the greater their fortune becomes. Watching the program <Unexpected Journey>, I started thinking that someone like Youn Yuh-jung might be a good example of this—growing in wealth and honor with age. While the ‘Cheon-eul Gwi-in’ receives great blessings and is surrounded by helpers, it is said that one could become overly complacent or lazy if they do not realize their mission. Pursuing wealth and fame without understanding one's true purpose will make life more difficult.

When I think about all of this, I realize that Jesus, being the most honored in heaven, came to the lowest place with the most difficult mission. And then, what about me? There were times when I felt so overwhelmed that it seemed like God was saying, “Live their life for them instead of them.” Yet, I knew I wasn’t meant to carry a cross. I began to think that perhaps God gave me this heavy burden because He believed I could handle it. When I prayed, I felt that He trusted I would overcome it. Whether it's because of the *Cheon-eul Gwi-in* or the *Tae-geuk Gwi-in*, I grew up in a difficult environment but somehow managed to survive, and thanks to the help of many people, I received an education that my parents' social class could never have imagined. The poverty in my household was something that others could never understand, and the dysfunction in my family was equally unimaginable. Wherever I went, even though I tried to help others, the stepmother or bosses I encountered, the very people who received help from me, ended up hating me. Of course, I had my flaws too. In the end, I had no choice but to run away. The wisdom and abilities I had, which they lacked, made the difference. They are still living in the same state they were in, while I continue to make better choices, finding peace and prosperity.

It is said that the *Cheon-eul Gwi-in* ultimately finds its rightful place. I, too, found that I couldn’t walk the same path as those I once knew because my way of thinking was so different from theirs. Their thoughts were often cruel, selfish, and harsh. I couldn’t understand why, from such a young age, I had a deep longing for the Bible, a desire to help others, and the heart to serve. I was helping others when I couldn’t even take care of myself.

My family, who knew me, would often mock me for this. But even so, they were just as reliant on the help I gave them. After I left them, they continued to suffer from their own lack of ability. However, I know that unless they abandon their evil thoughts and humbly rise after their downfall, helping them is not truly helping but exploitation. I choose to ignore them now, because I know they will never appreciate anything I do. Just as those in power who crucified Jesus became more hardened in their hearts. Those who crucified Jesus, and their descendants, faced a great punishment. In the year 70 AD, when Rome conquered Jerusalem, over a million of them were massacred and many could not escape. The sin of rejecting and killing God's Son was so grave that it led to their destruction.
