⦁Great ServiceNow Book for Beginners and Experts Alike.
: If you're looking to improve you skills with ServiceNow, or starting from scratch, Tim Woodruff's new Learning ServiceNow is the book to get started. He starts off with introducing the reader to the interface and moves onto how lists and forms work within the system, UI customization, tasks and workflows, user system and security, and a ton of other subject matter. And for those looking to learn about the ServiceNow API, there's a wealth of information on server and client-side API.

To make navigation easier for new ServiceNow users, plenty of screenshots are provided. The book starts out easy and gets increasingly more complex rather than jumping around like many other authors do. A nice little addition is the Pro Tips chapter where Mr. Woodruff provides some tips and tricks, shortcuts, and other functions that aren't documented in many places.

There are only a couple of good ServiceNow books available. This happens to be one of them. The book is a nice 300+ pages and has a lot of information packed in. This is one I definitely suggest if you want to improve your skills and start making more money.(-John M. Helebrant)

: If you're going to pick one book to introduce you to ServiceNow, I recommend this one. Tim breaks complex technical topics down into straightforward, easy-to-read language. Although prior JavaScript knowledge is recommended, I am sure developers at all experience levels, system administrators, engagement managers, trainers, and anyone else charged with planning, implementing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform will gain invaluable knowledge by reading this book.

I found this book through Tim's 'SN Pro Tips' site, where his explanation of the 'updateMultiple' function has already allowed me to improve the efficiency of the code I write for clients. I highly recommend any of Tim's writings for anyone looking to gain or build understanding of the ServiceNow platform (-GB)

▶About the Author-Tim Woodruff
Tim Woodruff has spent his entire adult life working in IT systems and development, with over a decade of experience in both. He's worked for a wide variety of companies in many industries, each with their own unique processes, systems, and needs.
When Tim was introduced to ServiceNow in 2010, IT Service Management suddenly seemed not simple, but at least simpler.

Tim now runs a start-up ServiceNow development and architecture consulting company, and writes custom ServiceNow apps which he licenses or gives away for free through his ServiceNow development blog and website, SN Pro Tips: snprotips.com/.

When he's not working, Tim can be found exploring abandoned ghost towns and other forgotten landscapes, researching obscure and arcane programming trivia, studying physics, and flying his drone with his wife (Kim) and their Beagle (Seven of Nine).
