About the Authors
ISESG Young Scholars is an educational project team composed of international school students who independently researched and wrote about their respective fields of interest.
The authors aim to present complex concepts in a clear and simple manner, helping peers and younger readers naturally build a foundation of essential general knowledge.
Each chapter is the result of the individual author’s independent exploration and organization of a topic they personally chose to study.
1. Aaron Kim
Aaron Kim wrote the biology chapter. He clearly explains fundamental life science concepts such as cell structure and biological processes, making the material accessible even to readers encountering biology for the first time.
2. Nathan Park
Nathan Park authored two chapters covering basic economic concepts and the principles of economic activity. He connects key ideas such as needs and wants, goods and services, and producers and consumers to real-life situations to aid understanding.
3. Esther Park
Esther Park wrote chapters on science topics closely related to everyday life, including the environment, health, recovery processes, sensory systems, and medical technology. She organizes diverse subjects in a structured way suited to young readers, enhancing overall comprehension.
4. Elizabeth Park
Elizabeth Park authored two chapters on breakfasts around the world and various forms of art. She introduces the meanings behind food, culture, and creative expression in an approachable way, helping readers develop curiosity about new cultures and artistic perspectives.
5. Enzo Lazur
Enzo Lazur wrote the gaming chapter. He analyzes game structures, interaction systems, and cultural impact from a youth perspective, offering explanations that are both engaging and easy to understand.
6. Jeremy Lee
Jeremy Lee authored a chapter on fundamental chemistry concepts. He explains key topics such as the structure of matter, atoms and molecules, and chemical changes step by step, making them visually and conceptually easy to grasp.
7. Joshua Tae
Joshua Tae wrote a chapter on various chemical and physical changes that occur in everyday life. He scientifically explains observable phenomena such as melting, browning, and bubble formation using familiar examples.
8. Yukun Chou
Yukun Chou authored the business chapter. He explains foundational elements of business—including trust, customer relationships, and communication—through real-life scenarios, making the subject approachable for students.
9. Helen Jin
Helen Jin wrote the cognitive science chapter. She explores how the mind works by connecting perception, sensation, memory, and learning across multiple disciplines, providing a foundation for expanded thinking.
10. Sian Choi
Sian Choi authored two chapters focusing on cultural comparison and neuroscience. By introducing lifestyles from different countries alongside principles of brain function, she contributes to broadening the reader’s perspective.
