Jin kijoun(Ph.D.)
Jin kijoun, Ph.D., is a researcher in the agri-food industry, a venture capital fund
manager, an entrepreneur, and an author. In 2011, as a late bloomer, he began his
research in the agri-food industry at Sangji University and Konkuk University Graduate School. He received his Ph.D. in Science from Konkuk University's Graduate School of Biological Resource and Food Engineering with his research on "A Standardized Methodology for Feasibility Studies for Agricultural Foreign Direct Investment(FDI)."
Dr. Jin conducted research as a principal researcher for the Korea International
Cooperation Agency(KOICA) Official Development Assistance(ODA) projects and national R&D projects at Konkuk University's Global Agricultural Development Cooperation Center. Subsequently, at the Korea Overseas Agri-Resources Development Association,
he supported agri-food companies' overseas expansion through subsidies from the
Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. In 2018, he managed a Gyeonggi-do
regional specialized fund at the venture capital firm ISU Investment.
After establishing Impact Partners in 2019, he secured investments from the Agri-Food and Fisheries Venture Investment Fund to form and manage agri-food venture funds and young farmer funds, solidifying his position as a professional venture investor.
Based on his extensive know-how and experience spanning agri-food research,
financial investment, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Jin is actively engaged in writing,
having conceived the 'Agri-food+Startup+Investment Series' to foster the revitalization
of the agri-food ecosystem.
